Cleveland XC Kicks Off Season with Local 5K

Cleveland State's Cross Country teams started their season at the Junior Achievement: Race to Achieve 5K at Tinsley Park last Friday. CSCC runners Luis Perez and Madison Guider won the overall men's and women's categories with times of 17:48 and 21:35, respectively.

Head Coach David Kyle said, "It was a fantastic start to our season and it was a very well organized race. Junior Achievement is a great program and we are glad we had the opportunity to attend the race. I'm very proud of how we raced today. It's very encouraging to see these great runs this early in the season."

Up next for the Cougars is the Reinhardt College Invitational in Canton, GA on September 1st.
