Cleveland State XC Ready for First Meet of Season

Cleveland State's men's and women's cross country teams are ready to compete in their first meet of their inaugural season. They will be traveling to Canton, Georgia today to race in the Reinhardt College Invitational at 5:30 PM EST.

Head Coach David Kyle had a few comments about today's race, "I'm very excited to see what our athletes can do in their first college race. I know they can't wait to get out there. I have high expectations for our season, and we need to make a statement in this first race to start the season off fast. We had a good race last week, winning the overall male and female titles against some tough local competition. We now head to Canton, GA to compete against some good "off road" cross country teams. The terrain of the track is going to be wet and muddy, which will provide a new challenge for us but we have worked hard and I believe that they will be ready to represent Cleveland State cross country with pride."

Up next, Cleveland Cross Country will be traveling to Carollton, Georgia to race in the West Georgia Invitional on Friday, September 8th, at 5:30 PM EST.
