Cleveland State XC Powers Through Rough Terrain at Maryville Invitational

Cleveland State Cross Country had a good showing at the Maryville Invitational last Saturday. The Cougars had to deal with some rough terrain as the men's course included over 250 feet of elevation while the women's course had over 200 feet of elevation. Head Coach David Kyle said, "This was a very tough course, it was a true cross country course with some challenging trails throughout."

Even with the tough terrain, the men's team placed in the top 5 with Luis Perez leading the pack, finishing 9th overall. Madison Guider of the women's team placed just outside the top 10, at 11th place.

Kyle stated, "I am extremely proud of the effort and resilience they showed. We are happy with our progress and can't wait to continue our improvement at the Central Georgia Tech Invitational."
