CSCC Baseball Signs Ryan Wilson

Cleveland State Baseball has signed Ryan Wilson to the 2018 roster.

A catcher at the New Creation Christian Academy in McDonough, Georgia, Ryan finished his junior season with a .524 batting average and 3 home runs. He also contributed on the defensive side by pitching a perfect game. Ryan helped lead his team to a GICCAA baseball state championship and is looking to repeat that finish this season.

"Signing with Cleveland State means a lot to me. This is a new beginning, I'm very excited and I can't wait to see where this will take me," said Ryan. "I want to be a leader for this team, I want to show that I can help win the big games and to perform when it really matters."

Ryan had multiple different offers from various schools but chose Cleveland State because, "It just felt like the right fit." He continued, "I'd like to thank my parents, my coaches at New Creation Christian Academy, and everyone who's helped me reach this point. I'd also like to thank Coach Policastro and the entire Cleveland State baseball coaching staff for giving me the opportunity to play ball here."
