Curry, Copeland and Olison Sign Letters of Intent

Cleveland State basketball players, Victor Curry, Cameron Copeland and Tevin Olison signed their letters of intent this week. They will be moving on to the next level, to play at 4 year Divison I & II schools. 

Tevin Olison has signed with Division I Lincoln Memorial University. Olison received All-Conference 1st team honors 2 years in a row and finished 5th in scoring in the conference. During his career at Cleveland State Olison played 723 minutes, scoring 837 points while hitting 286 field goals, 161 free throws and 104 three pointers. Olison averaged 1.9 assists, 1.4 steals and 4.4 rebounds per game over his two years at Cleveland State. Olison will be joining a successful program at Lincoln Memorial University, the Rail Splitters finished their regular season with a 32-2 record while holding a 17-1 home record and a perfect 12-0 road record. The Rail Splitters also held a perfect 20-0 record in their conference play. Lincoln Memorial made it to the Southeast Regional title game versus no. 7 ranked Queens Royal but lost, 69-57.

Victory Curry has signed to Division I Morgan State University. Curry received All-Conference 1st team honors and finished ranked 1st in the conference and 8th nationally for rebounds. Curry was also ranked 72nd among the top 100 JUCO level players. During his two years at Cleveland State, Victor Curry played 516 minutes over 44 games played and scored a total of 596 points on 187 made field goals and 222 free throws. Curry also collected a whopping 469 rebounds, 37 assists and 22 blocks over his career as a Cougar. Curry will be providing a fantastic level of play for the Morgan State Bears who finished last season with a 13-19 record. 

Cameron Copeland has signed with Division II University of Montavallo. Copeland received All-Conference 2nd team honors and finished 3rd in the conference in assists. During his career at Cleveland State, Copeland totalled 696 minutes over 51 games played. Copeland scored 570 points on 198 made field goals while making 102 free throws and 72 three pointers. Over the two years Copeland was a Cougar, he totalled 167 rebounds, 214 assists and 71 steals. Copeland will be bringing his skills to Montevallo who finished 15-15 last season.
