Head Coach Mike Policastro commented on the recently signed recruits saying, "In this years recruiting class we had quite a few holes to fill from our pitching staff and everyday line-up. We lost three starters and a closer, along with seven players out of our everyday line-up. Our recruiting class consists of twenty-seven players. Of those twenty-seven, eight are pitchers, as we try to rebuild our pitching staff. In the recruiting class, we have seven players who have transferred into our program from other two year and four-year schools to give us some much-needed experience. We like our freshman class and feel like we have a talented group who will be eager to show their ability in the fall."

Policastro continued, "Overall we feel like we were able to address the needs and add depth to our roster. We look forward to getting the team on the field for our fall training camp and see how the team competes and is able to make adjustments and improve throughout the fall as they prepare for the spring season."
