Lady Cougars Drop Match Against Gadsden State

Cleveland State Community College took on Gadsden State Community College on the road Monday evening, losing in straight sets. The Lady Cougars now hold a 8-10 (0-3) record while sporting a 3-5 home record and a 4-2 road record.

Cleveland State this season has faced Gadsden State twice, losing both matches. In the third affair between the two teams, Gadsden again came out with the victory. Cleveland State dropped the first set by a score of 25-12. They tried to get the momtemum rolling out of the gate but couldn't overcome Gadsden as they moved to a 0-1 match score. The second set sang a similar tune as Gadsden took a 25-10 victory moving their match score to 2-0 over the Lady Cougars. Finishing the match, Gadsden again rolled to a 25-19 set three score. The Lady Cougars came out with a better showing in the third set, keeping it close with Gadsden but ultimately could not finish with the lead, losing the match to Gadsden.

Cleveland State had two wins in a row before dropping matches to Snead State and Gadsden State but will look to right the ship once again against Chattanooga State Community College on the road on Wednesday, October 10th at 6:00 PM. After the road trip, the Lady Cougars will return to play in front of the home crowd as they'll face Catawba Community College on Thursday, October 11th.
