Ariana Smith, Aly Lemons Named to TCCAA All-Conference Team

Cleveland State Community College was host to the NJCAA Region VII Women's Volleyball tournament this weekend. After two rounds, Walters State Community College was named NJCAA Region VII Champions. 

Following the championship match, Cleveland State athletics announced the TCCAA All-Conference team. Two Lady Cougar volleyball players were named to the team, sophomore Ariana Smith and freshman Aly Lemons.

Ariana Smith, who came to Cleveland State from Chattanooga, TN, is a 5'7" outside hitter for the Lady Cougars. During the 2018-2019 season, Smith averaged 2.30 kills per set and a .147 hitting percentage. Smith also averaged 3.25 digs per set. By the end of the season, she had compiled a total of 118 kills, 166 digs, and 14 service aces.

Aly Lemons, a resident of Cleveland, TN, is a 5'11" middle hitter for the Lady Cougars. In her first season at Cleveland State, Lemons averaged 2.08 kills per set, and 1.02 digs per set. Lemons also had totaled 110 kills, 9 assists, and 18 service aces during the 2018-2019 season.

Ariana Smith will be graduating from Cleveland State this year while Aly Lemons will return for her upcoming sophomore season.
