History was made once again for the Cleveland State Cross-Country team on Tuesday, when Lady Cougar cross country runner Madison Guider signed a scholarship to run for Tennessee Wesleyan University. Madison is the first Cleveland State runner to sign at the next level.
"Madison was the top runner for the women's team for both of her years here. She will continue to work hard and excel at the next level undoubtedly," said Head Coach David Kyle.
Coach Kyle continued, "I look forward to follow her progress at the next level, and I know she will succeed both academically and athletically. She has been fun to coach and she has set the standard here at Cleveland State. I am super proud that she has this opportunity to continue her education and athletic career at Wesleyan. Coach Roberts will inherit a good runner but most important a good young woman."
