Cleveland State refused to give up their lead for the rest of the game, opening up the paint on Combine's side of the court and displaying amazing speed and ball movement in transition. Cleveland State ended the first half with a 14-3 run on Combine.

The Cougars' largest lead of the game came in the second half when they held 59 points over Combine's 28. Cleveland State continued their game and held on to their solid lead, ultimately winning the game, 78-60.
