Cougars Outlast Roane State, 67-65

Cleveland State's men's basketball team hosted Roane State Community College Saturday evening, winning by a score of 67-65.

Leading the Cougars was Delaino Walker who tallied a double-double, scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Maurice Dickson also lit up the floor with 16 points, 6 rebounds and a steal. Jonathon King had a double-double of his own, dominating under the rim for 12 points and 11 rebounds. Demonte Person and Darius Turman combined for a total of 6 points, 4 steals and 8 rebounds.

It was a back and forth game that saw multiple lead changes. The Cougars went into halftime with a score of 42-39 before they were outscored by a single point in the second half; 26-25. Overall, the Cougars shot 42% from the field, 20% from the arc and 59% at the free throw line. 

Cleveland State now sits at 7-9 (4-5) as they work to get back to .500. The Cougars will look to make it a three game win streak as they face Jackson State Community College on Friday, January 25th at home.
