Cleveland State Hires New SID

Cleveland State hired a new Sports Information Director in February.

Lindsey Beck, who is originally from Brentwood, Tenn, will now manage the sports media for the Cougars. She graduated in May 2018 with a BA in Sport Administration from Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Ga. She transferred into Covenant after attending Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tenn. for two years.

Beck has multiple years experience working in sports communications. She served Lipscomb University Communications as an athletic photographer and writer for two years. She also worked as a Sports Information Assistant for a year at Covenant College, primarily assisting in graphic design objectives and website management.

Beck also was a member of Covenant's inaugural track and field program, where she competed as a distance runner for two years in events such as the 5000m, 3000m and 800m, for which she held the school's indoor record for a season.

She currently resides in North Chattanooga with four other Covenant grads, where she enjoys hiking, attending sporting events, playing music, and taking photos in her free time. She also is a avid Nashville sports fan, pulling for the Nashville Predators, Vanderbilt Commodores, and Tennessee Titans.
