Baseball stayed red hot on offense as they secured a 13-3 victory in seven innings over the Lions of Piedmont College. The win extends the Cougars' streak to four straight.
Andrew Carpenter continued to tear the cover off of the ball. He went 3-for-4 and recorded five RBI, a home run, a triple and two runs scored. Rhett Baldwin (1-for-3) and Jonathan Hickman (2-for-3) also each drove in a couple. Marcial Hernandez also went 2-for-3 with an RBI. On the mound, the Cougars held the Lions to just one hit.
The Cougars have a big series coming up next as the TCCAA's top team Walters State visits Cougar Field this weekend. Friday's game will start at 2:00 ET and Saturday's doubleheader will start at 12:00 ET.
