Baseball's win streak was halted at four games on Saturday as they fell twice to nationally-ranked Walters State.
In the first game, the Cougars lost 9-0. They could only muster together three total hits in the game. C Kendall Catlett was 2-for-2 and SS Jonathan Hickman was 1-for-2. P Justin Morris went 2.2 IP in relief and allowed just one earned run with four strikeouts.
In the second game, Cleveland State lost 8-5. 1B Marcial Hernandez was 2-for-3 and drove in all five runs with his two home runs. LF Lance Dockery, Hickman, and 2B Andrew Carpenter had the other three hits for the Cougars in the game. P Seth Wicker threw three relief innings, allowing just one run and striking out three.
The Cougars will look to avoid the sweep in the season series tomorrow at 12:00 ET.
