PREVIEW: Baseball Takes Winning Streak To Rome, Ga.

After they swept conference rival Vol State 3-0 on the road, baseball will take a break from conference play to face Shorter University JV in Rome, Ga. on Wednesday. The doubleheader between the two teams will begin at 1:00 ET.

The Cougars' record now sits at 23-15 and 12-7 in TCCAA play. They are currently on a four-game winning streak and will hope to extend that against the Hawks. The recent push has helped Cleveland State regain the third spot in the TCCAA standings.

After this series, the Cougars will enter their final two series of the regular season, which will begin with them hosting Southwest Tennessee at home on Friday and Saturday. They will play  a single game at 2:00 ET on Friday, and then a doubleheader beginning at 12:00 ET on Saturday. They will also honor their sophomores on Saturday before the doubleheader begins around 11:45 ET.
