The Cleveland State Men's Basketball team will travel to Somerset, KY to face Campbellsville University Somerset on Tuesday, February 5th. The Cougars (9-11, 6-7 TCCAA) will tip off at 5:30 ET and try to break their two-game losing streak.
The Cougars will need to contain Titus Ransom, who is leading the team with 15.2 PPG and had 31 points off of the bench in CUS's 107-100 loss to Warren Wilson last Saturday night. Keelan Kennedy, who also put up double-digit points last time out with 23, will also be a factor on the scoring sheet.
Cleveland State will continue to rely on their sophomore scoring duo of Delaino Walker, averaging team-highs of 16.3 PPG and 7.1 RPG, and Jonathon King with 13.6 PPG. The team will need to also do a better job of controlling the ball against the Tigers, as they had 20 in their loss to Volunteer State last Saturday.
Though this non-conference matchup will not affect their conference rankings, a win would provide a confidence boost as the Cougars head into crucial non-conference games to close out the month of February. They currently sit at seventh in the TCCAA rankings.
