Newcomers Power Cougars To Opening Night Victory

Men's Basketball opened their season with a win on Friday evening at home, defeating Bryan College JV 82-64. 

The scoring was well-distributed for the Cougars. Alex Duke led the way with 13 total points, with Julian Baldwin scored 11 points of his own. Jager Dickson, Jon Morgan, and Jakobey Hitchens all also cracked double-digits with ten points a piece.

Hitchens also led the team in assists with four total, while Kerry Pratt led the Cougars with nine total rebounds. Duke also stole the ball three times, while Dickson and Baldwin also each had a pair of blocks.

Cleveland State will be back in action on Sunday, as they travel to Wallace State Hanceville. Their tip-off is set for 5:00 ET.
