Men's Basketball suffered a 66-60 defeat on the road against Southern Crescent Technical College.

The Achilles' heel in the loss for Cleveland State was the struggle to maintain possession of the basketball. Said head coach Lee Cigliano of the 23 turnovers, "We were too sloppy with the basketball tonight… it's hard to win when you are not getting opportunities at the basket and your opponent is turning them into points."

Cigliano also said that, while the Cougars had an okay defensive effort against the Tigers, the team, "was not good enough defensively to deserve a win."

Jakobey Hitchens led all scorers with 16 points and was 3-4 from beyond the arc. Demonte Person and Jimmy Brown also reached double-digit scoring with 12 and 11 points, respectively. Jon Morgan led all players with six rebounds, while Person led all participants with four assists.

Cleveland State will next travel to Boaz, Ala. on Tuesday to face Snead State. Tip off is set for 8:30 ET.
