Cougars Keep Rolling At Home

Men's Basketball brought their home record to a perfect 4-0 on the season as they secured a big 73-61 win over Wallace State on Tuesday evening.

The Cougars started strong, putting together an impressive 10-0 run in the middle of the first half, but the Lions came storming back to tie the game at halftime. After the break, it was all Cleveland State, as they put together a 40-28 period and grew their lead to as many as 14 in the second frame to pull away.

The Cougars also dominated in points in the paint, outscoring the Lions 42 to 16 in that category. In terms of offense, the Cougars were led by Kerry Pratt, who scored 14 points, and Jaquez Hicks, who scored 13 points. Demonte Person had a team-high 10 total assists, while Hicks led the team in rebounds with 8. Both Hicks and Jon Morgan also contributed three blocks a piece in the contest. 

Cleveland State will be back in action on Wednesday, Dec. 4 as they travel to Morristown, Tenn. to face conference foe Walters State. Tip-off is set for 7:30 ET.
