Cougars Lose at Home to Motlow State
Cleveland State lost a home game tonight against Motlow State.
The Cougars (5-17, 1-13) were down 10 at halftime to the Bucks (4-21, 3-11) and weren't able to make the stops needed for a comeback going down 92-80.
The team's leading scorer Jeremiah Hayes was out tonight, but four players put up double figures with Josiah Marsh scoring a team high 19 points. Carson Boyle, the team's second leading scorer, was right behind him with 17 while Logan Brown put in 11 and Landen Paquette scored 10.
Motlow State saw three players in double figures with two topping the 20 point mark. Tristin Fleming led all scorers with 26 while Anfernee Hanna put in another 24.
Now the Cougars go to second place Volunteer State (12-11, 11-3), a team they lost to in Cleveland on December 7 by a score of 78-62. Tip-off is Saturday at 5 p.m.
