Cougars Come Two Baskets Away From Winning Final Home Game
It was close all night, but Cleveland State couldn't pull out the win.
In what was their final home game of the season, the Cougars (5-19, 1-15) lost to Roane State (16-8, 9-6) coming two baskets away 71-67.
Kam'Ron Lee scored a team high for Cleveland State putting in 16 on 4-7 shooting from the field while hitting all eight of his free-throws. Carson Boyle pitched in with 12 and Landen Paquette added another 11.
The Raiders had two players score in double figures with Walter Campbell putting in a game high 23 points and Jahiem Berry adding another 20.
Cleveland State hits the road for their final two games of the season before the conference playoff tournament begins. The Cougars go to Southwest Tennessee (13-10, 7-8) on Saturday with tip-off scheduled for 5 p.m. before wrapping up their season at Pellissippi State (10-15, 4-11) next Wednesday.
