Softball will face West Georgia Tech at home on Wednesday coming off of a 1-3 series with Motlow State Friday and Saturday.
The Lady Golden Knights are 11-8 this year and are 4-6 in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association. They are 6-4 when they travel away from LaGrange.
Taylor Knight leads WGTC with a .450 batting average, good for third in the GCAA, and 12 RBI. The Lady Golden Knights also have four other players batting over the .300 mark. Their pitching is led by Kati Mills, who has a 3.50 ERA and 13 strikeouts in 42.0 IP.
For Cleveland State, they will continue to rely on the steady bat of Hailey Galvan. She is fifth in the TCCAA in batting average with a .478 mark and leads the team in stolen bases and runs scored. Auburn Collake also continues to be a force in the middle of the order and leads the Cougars with 18 RBI. Pitching wise, Kaitlyn Pickens is second in the TCCAA with 58 strikeouts and also posts a 2.90 ERA.
The Lady Cougars played WGTC on March 18th last year and swept the doubleheader with 1-0 and 7-1 wins. After this series, they will resume conference play at home on Friday and Saturday against Chattanooga State.
