The Lady Cougars swept the Lady Mountain Lions on Tuesday in Young Harris, Ga. at Young Harris College.
In the first game, Cleveland State won 13-6. Aubrie Bowman drove in six runs with her three home runs, including a grand slam. Hailey Galvan and Hannah Turner also hit a home run each, and the team as a whole had 15 hits. Kaitlyn Pickens recorded the win on the mound.
In the second game, the Lady Cougars won by a score of 8-3. Bowman recorded three more hits, and both Kat Cechini and Kaitlin Crump hit a home run in the contest. Cleveland State also recorded 15 hits in the second game. Bekah Copas picked up the win.
The Lady Cougars will resume conference play on Friday and Saturday against second-ranked Walters State. Friday's doubleheader will start at 2:00 ET and Saturday's will start at 12:00 ET.
