Softball welcomes Walters State to their home turf Friday and Saturday fresh off of a sweep of Young Harris College's JV team.
The two wins on Tuesday pushed the Lady Cougars record to 14-15 on the year and 5-13 in the TCCAA. They are currently eighth overall in the conference, but could move up the ladder with a good series this weekend.
The Lady Senators are 21-13 overall and 13-5 in the TCCAA. The second-ranked Walters State squad won their last series, which was with Roane State, 3-1. Offensively, the Lady Senators are led by Keeley Quillen, who is batting .451 with 25 RBI and nine home runs. She leads the team in all of those categories and is fifth in the TCCAA in BA and is tied for third in home runs.
The Lady Cougars were swept in last year's season series with Walters State 4-0. After this series, they will travel to Volunteer State next Friday and Saturday.
