Softball advanced to the semifinals of the TCCAA Tournament after defeating Motlow State 7-4 on Tuesday afternoon.
The RBI totals were spread well throughout the entire lineup, as six of the nine who started the game drove in at least one run. DP Summer Dean was 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, and two RBI.
RP Peyton Varela also pitched two innings of three hit, shutout ball to protect the Lady Cougars' lead late.
Cleveland State will either play Walters State or Dyersburg State tomorrow at 1:30 ET.
