Thompson Attends Professional Event

Women's Basketball head coach Evelyn Thompson attended a professional development event in Nashville, Tenn. on Wednesday.

The Women in Sports Professional Development Day, which took place at Ohio Valley Conference member school Belmont University, served to encourage and equip women in the athletic arena to maintain and build a foundation for longevity in the business.

Over 130 attended and the conference featured speakers such as Dr. Diane Murphy, former athletic director of Columbia University and University of Denver, Dr. Alisa White, President of Austin Peay State University, Joan Cronan, former University of Tennessee Women's Athletic Director, and other well-respected coaches.

"It was great to be in the room with so many accomplished and talented women," said Thompson. "It was a chance to get some very solid advice and encouragement from women who have persevered and excelled in the sports arena. It was a chance to be renewed and regenerated for the upcoming year."
