Volleyball suffered a heartbreaking defeat at home against Reinhardt JV on Friday night, falling 3-2 to the Lady Eagles.
Cleveland State took the first set 25-21, but Reinhardt came back to claw their way back into the game with a 25-23 victory in the second set. In the third and fourth sets, the teams again traded victories, with Reinhardt taking a 25-22 victory in the third and the Lady Cougars winning 25-20 second set. The final set came down to the wire, as Cleveland State battled hard to make it close, but a hot start for the Lady Eagles was too much for them to overcome.
The Lady Cougars will be back in action on Tuesday, Sept. 10 as they travel to Hanceville, Ala. to face Wallace State. Match time is set for 7:00 ET.
