Volleyball will travel to Hanceville, Ala. Friday and Saturday to participate in the Wallace State Fall Bash Tournament. Today's matches are set for 4:00 and 9:00 ET.
The Lady Cougars (8-12, 1-2 TCCAA) come into this tournament after suffering two tough home losses to conference foe Walters State on Tuesday and Johnson on Thursday. They will look to get back to their hot streak before this week of games, as they won five straight before falling to those opponents.
Cleveland State will open tournament play against Spartanburg Methodist from Spartanburg, S.C. at 4:00 ET on Friday evening. The Lady Pioneers are 10-12 this season and have lost their last three matches, including their previous match on Wednesday against Toccoa Falls.
The Lady Cougars will follow their match against Spartanburg Methodist with a game against Catawba Valley at 9:00 ET. The Lady Red Hawks from Hickory, N.C. have had a strong season so far, posting a 20-3 record. They are currently in the midst of a five-match winning streak and have also won 15 of their last 16 matches. They last played on Thursday, sweeping Chattanooga State.
The Lady Cougars will continue tournament play tomorrow. Matchups are to be determined by wins according to the pool each participating team is assigned in.
