Volleyball finished as the runner-up in Region VII Championship as they fell 3-0 to Walters State on Saturday.

The Lady Cougars fell 25-15 in set two. Stephanie Burke recorded a kill and a service ace, while Lemons also contributed a couple of kills.

The third set, Cleveland State suffered a 25-11 defeat which ended the match. The Lady Cougars started out strong in the set, with Katlyn Knight recording a kill to make it 1-0 and Lemons scoring a point to make it 6-3 Lady Cougars, but a huge Lady Senators rally afterwards proved too much to handle. Burke also had three kills in the set.
