PREVIEW: Cougs and Raiders Clash in Weekend Series in Cleveland
Baseball will play their first home conference series of 2020 on Friday and Saturday vs. Roane State. Friday's single-game is set to begin at 2:00 ET, while Saturday's doubleheader will start at 12:00 ET.
The Cougars were last in action on Wednesday, when they swept Tusculum JV in a two-game set. Cleveland State has also won eight of their last 10 games and currently holds a 11-5 overall record and a 2-1 record in the TCCAA. They have also been strong at home to start the year, going 9-1.
The Raiders of Roane State have started their season 7-12 and currently sit at 1-2 in the conference. They were last in action on Saturday and Sunday, when they lost their first TCCAA series of the year 1-2 in Gallatin at Volunteer State.
Last season, these two teams split their season series 1-1. The first game of the series between the Cougars and Raiders was cancelled due to weather.
After this series, Cleveland State will host Calhoun in a one-game series on Tuesday. First pitch is set for 2:00 ET.
