Bio

Doug Beard played Baseball for the Cougars from 1982-1984. During his time at Cleveland State, he accomplished the following:

• Named an NJCAA All-American
• Named to the NJCAA All-Region VII Team
• Named Team MVP

Beard continued his collegiate career at East Tennessee State after leaving Cleveland State. He also played for the Cincinnati Reds Rookie League for a time. Beard now lives in Knoxville, Tenn. where is works as a Health, Physics and Industrial Safety Professional. He enjoys hunting, fishing and golfing in his free time. He is also a graduate of Rhea County High School and is originally from Seattle, Wash. where he travelled for 10 years with his father, who was in the U.S. Navy.
