Women's Basketball will host Gadsden State in their first game of 2020. Tip-off is set for 2:00 ET.

The Lady Cougars (7-5, 4-1 TCCAA) finished their 2019 schedule strong, winning their last three games and six of their last eight, including their last against these Lady Cardinals in Gadsden, Ala. 84-79 back on Dec. 14. Gadsden State sits at 6-7 on their season and lost in their last game of the year, which was also that matchup with Cleveland State. They have also lost three of their last four games.

Cleveland State will hope that Asjah Harrell will stay hot offensively. She has scored at least 20 points in three of the last four games, including scoring 28 in the Lady Cougars' last game at Gadsden State, and is second in the TCCAA averaging 19.4 points a contest. Harrell is also tied for first in assists on the TCCAA leaderboard at a 5.6 mark to this point of the season as she posted six in that last contest. Britnay has also been solid for the Lady Cougars during their hot streak, posting a double-double in five of the last six games, and is second in the TCCAA with 12.1 rebounds per game. Cassidy Nihoff also had a career-high 15 points on Dec. 14 and has scored double-digits in four of the team's last five.

After this contest, Cleveland State will travel to Tullahoma, Tenn. to face Motlow State in what will be their first TCCAA matchup of 2020. Gametime is scheduled for 6:30 ET.
