Women's Basketball will look to win their eighth conference game of the season on Saturday as they welcome Volunteer State to their home floor. Tip-off is set for 2:00 ET.

The Lady Cougars have been on fire of late, winning seven of their last eight games. In their last matchup, they won in Dyersburg, Tenn. over the Lady Eagles last Saturday, a win which propelled to the second spot in the TCCAA standings. Cleveland State has a 11-6 overall record and a 7-2 record in conference play.

The Lady Pioneers find themselves in the middle of a tough stretch. They have lost five of their last six games, including their most recent to Chattanooga State 65-48 last Saturday. They are 3-13 overall and have posted a 2-7 record in TCCAA matchups, which places them in eighth in the conference.

History favors Cleveland State in this matchup. The Lady Cougars are 18-13 against Volunteer State since 2001 and have won seven of their last eight games against their conference rival from Gallatin, Tenn. They also swept the season series last year, winning 59-54 in Cleveland on Dec. 8, 2018 and 59-58 in Gallatin on Feb. 2, 2019.

After this game, the Lady Cougars will continue their homestand as they welcome Roane State to Cleveland on Wednesday. Gametime is scheduled for 5:30 ET.
