Women's Basketball extended their winning streak to three on Saturday afternoon, securing a 69-60 win over Southwest Tennessee. Cleveland State is now 4-3 on the season an a perfect 3-0 in conference play.
The Lady Cougars dominated the game in terms of lead time, driving ahead of the Lady Saluqis for nearly 36 minutes of the game. They led by as many as 13 at the 5:53 mark of the third quarter.
It was a big night for two of the Cleveland State sophomores. Britnay Gore led all scorers with 23 points while also grabbing a game-high 16 rebounds, while Za'kkria Robinson followed closely behind with 20 points of her own. Asjah Harrell led all players with nine assists.
The Lady Cougars will return to action on Tuesday as they host Wallace State. Tip-off is schedule for 5:30 ET.
