Jim Cigliano was served in multiple administrative roles at Cleveland State from 1967-2005. 

He served as the Athletic Director of Cleveland State for 22 years from 1975-1996. During his time as Athletic Director, he accomplished the following:

  • Helped guide Cleveland State to become the first two-year college in Tennessee to see all of its sports programs participate in the NJCAA National Tournament
  • Organized the Cougar Club, which raised funds for the college's athletic programs
  • Served as Director of NJCAA Region VII for 12 years
  • Served as Director of the NJCAA National Tennis Tournament

Cigliano is also a member of the TCCAA Hall of Fame, Bradley County Hall of Fame, and the Cleveland Old-Timers Hall of Fame. He was also one of the first administrators in the college's history and was Cleveland State's first Admissions Director.
