Kim Gentry Smith played Softball for the Lady Cougars from 1982-1984. During her time at Cleveland State, she accomplished the following:
- Named an NJCAA Second-Team All-American
- Threw a no-hitter in the NJCAA National Tournament
- Finished third in the NJCAA National Tournament in 1984
- Finished fifth in the NJCAA National Tournament in 1983
