Cleveland State Community College - Cleveland State Community College

Mike Benson played Golf for the Cougars from 1973-1974. During his time at Cleveland State, he accomplished the following:

• Qualified for the NJCAA National Tournament with the Cougars
• Was a member of the team that won the NJCAA Region VII Championship

After Cleveland State, Benson went on to attend the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala. where he was kicker for the Crimson Tide from 1975-1976. He worked at Scottsboro High School for 27 years, teaching and coaching football, men's and women's basketball, baseball and men's and women's golf.
