After securing a 1-0 start to their conference slate this season, Men's Basketball travels to Roane State on Wednesday evening for another TCCAA matchup. Tip-off is set for 7:30 ET.

The Cougars (3-3, 1-0 TCCAA) won big over Volunteer State in that first conference game on Saturday by a final score of 94-77. The Raiders (1-5, 1-1 TCCAA) have struggled to begin their season and lost a 88-86 nailbiter to Jackson State in their last game on Saturday.

The last time these two teams met was a major matchup. Cleveland State defeated Roane State 70-58 in the TCCAA Championship game last March to secure the TCCAA crown. They then went on to become the first team seeded 24th overall to win a game in the NJCAA National Tournament, defeating Casper College 90-83.

Since 2013, the Cougars hold a 9-5 edge in the series and have won three of the last four against the Raiders. They also split last year's regular season series 1-1 before winning in the title game.

Cleveland State will hope to get another big game out of Demonte Person. He scored a career-high 32 points, dished out three assists, and grabbed four boards in the Cougars' win Saturday.

After this matchup, the Cougars will return home to host Southwest Tennessee. Gametime is set for 4:00 ET.
