PREVIEW: Cougars Look to Keep Streak Alive at Walters Wednesday

Men's Basketball looks to keep their winning streak alive as they travel to Morristown, Tenn. on Wednesday to square off with Walters State. The TCCAA matchup is set to begin at 7:30 ET.

The Cougars (5-4) sit at 2-1 in the conference to this point of the season. They defeated Wallace State 73-61 in their last game on Nov. 26 to earn two straight victories and stretch their perfect home record to 4-0. The Senators (7-4) are 2-2 in the TCCAA are have also won two straight, winning 103-69 against Tennessee Wesleyan JV in their last matchup. 

Since 2018, Cleveland State and Wallace State have split the series, each winning two games a piece in the four games the two have played against each other. The Cougars won a narrow 78-77 game on the road on Jan. 16 last season, while Walters State had the upper hand in a 78-69 game in Cleveland on Feb. 13.

After this game, the Cougars will host Jackson State on Saturday at 4:00 ET. This will be Men's Basketball's final home game of 2019.
