PREVIEW: Cougs Look to Win 10th Straight vs. Jackson State Saturday

Men's Basketball looks to get back on track as they host Jackson State on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 4:00 ET.

After winning two straight, the Cougars (5-5, 2-2 TCCAA) fell 59-45 in Morristown, Tenn. against Walters State on Wednesday. Jackson State has started out 9-0 on the season and 4-0 in conference play. They won their last game 96-57 over Southwest Tennessee at home on Wednesday.

Since 2013, Cleveland State has dominated the series with the Green Jays. They are 11-3 in that time span and have won nine straight games against Jackson State, including their last in the TCCAA Tournament on Mar. 1 76-61.

Jaquez Hicks has been a force on offense of late. Hicks has reached double figures in points in six straight games, including recording a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds on Wednesday. Kerry Pratt has also been on fire of late for the Cougars, also scoring 10 or more points in six straight games. Cleveland State will hope that both sophomores will continue this trend.

After this contest, the Cougars will travel to Gadsden State on Saturday, Dec. 14. Gametime is scheduled for 5:00 ET.
