Softball opens their 2020 conference slate Friday and Saturday at Jackson State. Friday's doubleheader is set to begin at 2:00 ET, while Saturday's two-game set will begin at 1:00 ET.
The Lady Cougars were last in action last Saturday, when they lost to Wallace State and Itawamba in a tournament that took place in Hanceville, Ala. Their record sits at 1-3 on the season, which has been marred by many games cancelled due to bad weather. The Lady Green Jays of Jackson State have a 7-9 overall record and last played on Saturday and Sunday, when they won three-of-four vs. Southwestern Illinois.
Last season, Cleveland State and Jackson State split their season series 1-1. The opening two games of their series in Cleveland were cancelled due to rain.
After this game, the Lady Cougars will return home on Monday to host Snead State in what will be their 2020 home opener. The doubleheader with the Lady Parsons will get underway at 1:00 ET.
