Cleveland State split a doubleheader with the Young Harris College Lions' JV team on Tuesday.
In the first game, the Lady Cougars won 8-0 in five innings. Out of the gates, they were on fire offensively, scoring three runs in first innings and two more a piece in the second and third innings. SP Kaitlyn Pickens started for the Lady Cougars.
The second game played out much differently. Cleveland State fell 10-1 to the Lady Lions in five innings. Young Harris strung together a three hit, six run fifth inning that secured their victory. On a positive note for the Lady Cougars, Hailey Galvan was 3-for-3 in the game.
The Lady Cougars will continue their homestand on Friday, March 1 with a weekend series against Jackson State. Friday's doubleheader will start at 2:00 ET.
