Game One Recap
Cleveland State and Chattanooga State took turns scoring unearned runs in the low hit low scoring game on Saturday April 2. The Cougars got on the board first with an unearned run in the first when Avery Collins reach first on a fielder choice to drive in the only Cougar run on the game. Chattanooga waited to capitalize with their unearned runs until the top of the seventh when they scored to for the eventual final score of 3-1
Starter Bryce Jenkins tossed six innings giving up just four hits while striking out nine. Cougar hitters managed just five hits one each by Jaylen Jones, Jacob Robinson, Collins, Hunter Gray and Rhett Hammontree.
Game Two Recap
In game two Chattanooga State doubled Cleveland State in just about everything. The Cougars managed eight hits while the Tigers had 16 in addition to 12 walks. The Cougars had eight runs while the Tigers had 18.
Cleveland State's eight hit attack were led by four players; Jones, Andre Tarver, AJ Swader and Hammontree with two hits each with Hammontree driving home three runs on the game. Seven Cougar pitchers took a shot at Chattanooga throughout the game but were unable to overcome a three-run first inning lead by the Tigers that they would never relinquish.

Cleveland State stands with an overall record and conference mark of 21-14 and 6-8. Currently the Cougars are scheduled to play a home nine-inning contest vs Wallace State Community College-Hanceville on Wednesday April 6 at 2 p.m. EST
