Lady Cougars Drop vs Wallace State
Cleveland State Community College's women's basketball team traveled down to Wallace State Community College for a matchup Tuesday evening, losing by a score of 114-60.
Britnay Gore lead the Lady Cougars with an impressive 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks. The performance by Gore was her season high in points scored. Hannah Phillips also contributed nicely, dropping 14 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 blocks. Jordan Smith and Kaitlin Crump each tallied 6 points while Peyton Eads scored 7 points.
In total, the Lady Cougars shot 38% from the field and 26% from the three point line. Cleveland State also shot 5-13 from the free throw line.
Wallace State proved to be a formidable force as they defeated the Lady Cougars by a score of 114-60.
Up next for the Lady Cougars will be a return to their home court as they face Motlow State Community College this Friday, December 7th at 7:30 PM EST.
