It was another strong semester academically for Cleveland State Athletics.

Baseball and Softball shined in the semester academically. The Cougars recorded a team GPA of 3.37, the highest of all of the teams this semester, while the Lady Cougars recorded a 3.18 team GPA.

In addition, 12 different athletes recorded a GPA of 4.0 while 30 athletes recorded a mark of 3.0 or higher.

"We want to congratulate all of our student-athletes on completing the academic semester under adverse circumstances," said Athletic Director Mike Policastro. "Many student athletes excelled throughout the semesters with about 50 percent of our athletes earning a 3.0 or higher and 12 students receiving a 4.0. We also will have 18 sophomore athletes that will graduate this spring and summer. We want to wish all of our sophomore athletes the best of luck as they leave Cleveland State and thank them for all they have done for Cleveland State Athletics."
