Cleveland State lost their third straight game, this time at Bryan College against their junior varsity team. The Cougars (4-12, 0-8) beat the Lions when they played earlier this month on January 3rd at home, but this time couldn't bring home a win going down 80-74 in the non-conference game.

Cleveland State hosts Pellissippi State this evening in their first conference home game of 2025. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. The Cougar men started the New Year with a home win vs Bryan College JV 80-68, but lost their last game at Roane State 77-59. With an overall record of 4-10 Cleveland State looks to break into the conference win column vs seventh place Pellissippi State who most recently lost vs. Walters State 68-48.

Cleveland State Community College Foundation will celebrate the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of the newly renovated Mark E. Smith Performance Center on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 4 p.m. in the L. Quentin Lane Gymnasium on the Cleveland State campus. The Performance Center is located on the first floor of the gymnasium and provides state-of-the-art fitness equipment to help student athletes maintain athletic consistency during the academic year. The facility is also open to students and employees.

Cleveland State's basketball games scheduled for Saturday are being rescheduled to January 20. The Cougars were set to host Southwest Tennessee in both men's and women's basketball, but with the incoming weather this weekend the games are being postponed.
