Cougars Golf Finished Fourteenth Overall at the Snead State Chuck Kalanick Memorial

Cleveland State golf finished fourteenth out of nineteen schools competing at the Snead State Chuck Kalanick Memorial.

The team shot +79 in their fall season opener at the Cherokee Ridge Country Club in Union Grove, Alabama.

"We did not finish the way we would have liked, but the team played hard," head coach Shannon Skipper said.

One player that did finish well was sophomore Andrew Mccarver placing 47th overall out of the 102 players that competed. He struggled day one shooting a +11, but in round two he shot six strokes better at +5 and on day three he nearly shot par at +1.

Carson Minish was the Cougars second best golfer in the tournament with a +21 overall good for 53rd place. Carson Milen and Logan Gadd each shot a +24 with Daniel Moseley rounding out the Cougars that played with a final score of +30

Next on the schedule for the Cougar golf team is a tournament at the Sandhills Community College Stitch Flyers Longleaf Golf Club in Pinehurst, NC this coming Monday, September 30 and Tuesday, October 1.

"We look forward to going to Pinehurst, NC and proving what we can really play like," Skipper said.
