"Carson is a freshman and hopefully this is the first of many wins for Carson," head coach Shannon Skipper said. "We are improving as the season progresses."
Seth Moore was also in the top ten ending the tournament in 8th place shooting nine over par.
The Cougars Andrew McCarver came in at +14 good for 17th place with Logan Gadd not far behind at +15. Carson Milen finished one stroke behind Gadd, Daniel Moseley shot 20 over par and Gray Loftin ended with a score of +23. Kadyn Copeland rounded out the Cougars participating the tournament shooting +26.
The third place showing in the tournament was the best the Cleveland State golf team has produced this fall.
"We are excited for the remainder of the fall season," Skipper said.
The Cougars have two more tournaments this fall. Next up the team goes to the Roane State Atomic City Classic at the Oakridge Country Club in Oakridge, TN October 21 and 22 before finishing up the season the week after at the Southeast District Preview at the Country Club of Bristol in Bristol, TN.
