The Cleveland State baseball team brought their winning streak to four games on Saturday, winning both games against the Trailblazers from Vincennes University.
In the first game, the Cougars only needed five innings to secure a 10-0 victory.
Winning P Ryan Inches allowed no runs or walks and gave up just two hits on the day. He also struck out eight. On the offensive side, RF Jonathan Hickman had two RBI during his 1-for-3 outing. The top three of Cleveland State's lineup consisting of SS Parker Hill, 2B Andrew Carpenter, and 3B Rhett Baldwin also had big days, going a combined 6-for-10 with 3 RBI and two walks.
The second game was much closer, as the Cougars won 5-1.
SS Hill went 3-for-4 and recorded an RBI. DH Carpenter had two RBI on his 1-for-3 afternoon. Winning P Ethan Walls had a strong game, allowing no earned runs, allowing just three hits, and posting three strikeouts in five innings of work.
Cleveland State will face Vincennes University again tomorrow. First pitch is set for 12:00 ET.
