Cleveland State men's basketball team lost a heartbreaker against Walters State at home on Wednesday night, falling 78-69 in their regular season home finale.
The Cougars started the game on an 8-0 run and led 36-28 at the half. They never let the Senators have a lead until Walters State put themselves up 71-69 at the 2:30 mark of the fourth quarter.
Darius Turman and Exavian Young both had big games for the Cougars. Turman had 11 points, three rebounds, two assists, and a steal. Young posted 10 points, five rebounds and a steal. Maurice Dickson also grabbed a team-high 11 boards.
The Cougars will play again on Saturday against Roane State in Harriman, TN. Tip off is set 6:00 ET.
